Basic Training for Every Puppy
At Mainely Standards, every puppy receives a foundation of training before going home. Our goal is not to create a fully trained dog in ten weeks, but to give each puppy the best possible start.
Training begins early through daily handling, socialization, routine, and positive interactions. As puppies mature, we begin introducing basic skills and expectations that help make the transition to their new homes smoother.
Many of our puppies leave with an understanding of commands such as sit, down, come, stay, crawl, over, and basic leash walking. Every puppy learns at their own pace, so we cannot guarantee a specific level of proficiency, but we work with each puppy as an individual and help them build confidence through positive experiences.
